Allison Gilliam has been a worship planner for forty years. Allison was planning innovative worship long before it became a trend. To her, engaging all the senses in worship can only enhance the pleasure the Heavenly Father receives through our weekly worship experiences. For He alone is worthy! Allison hopes you will find ideas, songs, and dramatic presentations on this website that will spark your own creativity. She has visited various churches to talk with worship leaders about how we can all expand the boundaries of our worship experiences and would be glad to start a dialogue with you. Allison is also a successful songwriter. Corporate worship has been the inspiration for many of her songs. Most recently three of her copyrights were added to the hymnal, Celebrating Grace. These copyrights include a hymn, Like A Mother With Her Children, Music by Allison, Words by Jan Clanton-Aldredge; a praise chorus, We Will Give You Praise Unending; and a baptismal response, We Are Raised To Newness Of Life. She wrote both words and music to the last two songs.She has written for children and some of these songs are included on this website. She has been involved with the Gospel Music Association in Nashville, Tennessee, serving on its board as an officer, as well as, a director. For a time, she served as the music editor for a children's curriculum publisher in Texas. Allison graduated from Baylor University with a major in Music Theory and Chemistry. She taught high school chemistry at Richfield High School in Waco, Texas, for five years. Allison lives in Valley Mills, Texas, with her husband, John, who has been a banker in the community for forty years. They have a son, Phil, and a daughter, Jennifer. They enjoy three grandchildren.
