Allison is a successful songwriter.  Corporate worship has been the inspiration for many of her songs.  She has written for children, anthems for choir, and piano arrangements. The songs you hear on her website are available at cdbaby.com and iTunes.

Allison has three copyrights in a new hymnal, Celebrating Grace, published in 2012.  Also, in 2012, she was the Grand Prize winner of Write About Jesus for her song, “I Will Rest”.  Most recently, she was selected a top 10 finalist songwriter in the Christian category by the Texas Country Music Association.  She is a member of BMI.

For the last fourteen years, Allison has produced a CD each year to authenticate her songwriting journey.  Included in each CD are three original songs, as well as, one of her hymn arrangements.  Coming along side with these projects is the producing skills of M. J. Gallop, Minister of Music at First Congregational Church, Houston, Texas.  All of these CD’s were engineered by Direct Resonance Recording Studio, Steven and Kayla Rosas, Waco, Texas.

Allison graduated from Baylor University with a major in Music Theory

and Chemistry.  She taught high school chemistry at Richfield High School in Waco, Texas, for five years.  She has been involved with the Gospel Music Association in Nashville, Tennessee, serving on its board as an officer, as well as, a director.  For a time, she served as the music editor for FAITHWAY, a children’s curriculum publisher once active in Texas.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the First National Bank of Bosque County, as well as, the Advisory Board for the Center of Christian Music Studies at Baylor University.

Allison lives in Valley Mills, Texas, with her husband, John, who has been a banker in the community now for fifty years.  They have a son, Phil, and a daughter, Jennifer.  They enjoy three grandchildren.
